Café Official Opening this Friday

This Friday we are celebrating the official opening of our third outlet in just over a year, a Café space in St. George's Street, Gzira. It has really been an amazing journey for us since our start in the kiosk just 15 months ago.

The idea is simple, "We believe that the food we eat is one of the foundations of how happy and fulfilling our lives can be. If we eat foods full of nutrients, energy and cleansing properties, the level of passion and commitment we can bring to our lives will increase accordingly."

Our mission is to reduce the barriers to healthy eating by making it tasty and affordable. Why should the experience of eating a healthy meal be any different from any other enjoyable dining experience? The only difference should be in the after effect - leaving you ready to get on with your day will full energy and power.

The transition to a fixed location with seating has allowed us to expand our menu and services, so we are very excited to have many new items planned for launch in the upcoming months. We designed the Café itself from scratch and we hope that it will give you a real feel for our philosophy and values.

The official opening on Friday will also mark the beginning of an extension to our opening hours to add weekend lunches and also dinner on Friday and Saturday evening.

For those who also loved our mobile outlet, fear not...it will be attending many events over the summer before finding a permanent home in a new location next winter.

Chef Wanted!

The Grassy Hopper is looking for new people to join our team! 

We expect the highest standards of both personal and professional hygiene as well as disciplined people who take pride in their work.

We are looking for people who share our values of transparency, honesty, integrity, humility and responsibility. We can offer a very nice work environment and work that is fun and meaningful!

Although work experience in a professional kitchen is an absolute must-have, this need not be in a vegan or vegetarian kitchen. Extensive training will be provided, including emphasis on the particular nature of vegan and vegetarian cooking, and catering to people with specific diets

Chef (part-time/full-time)

- A qualification and/or (minimum 1 year) experience working as a chef is an absolute must

- Must hold a valid drivers license and food handling certificate

- Must be passionate about vegetarian and vegan cooking

- Must have very good team working skills

The Grassy Hopper Cafe - Coming Soon

We are super excited about the imminent launch of our first outlet with seating! Monday the 22nd will see our new space open its doors for the first time.

For the past two months we have been working to turn the place, from a totally bare unfinished property into the colourful and homely spot that we will call our home. We worked fully hands on with architects, designers and contractors to make sure that every corner was imprinted with our spirit. That every item inspires and communicates our vision.

Private Catering

Over the last few months private requests by some of our customers have led to us developing tailored private catering services.

From catering week long yoga teacher training to christenings, we have experienced a range of events that have left us inspired to bring our food into different environments. A big thank you to those who have commissioned our services and trusted us to deliver quality food to their important events.

We are now very happy to announce the following;

- Private Dinner Catering: food delivered to your home (for 9+ people) with a menu tailored to your specifications.

- Private Event Catering: A menu designed specifically for your event with the options of full waiter service/ kitchen on site. As well as full meals, we also cater for finger food/canapés.

- The Grassy Hopper in your kitchen: One of our chef's will come and cook Grassy Hopper designed menus in the comfort of your own home/event.

- The Grassy Hopper Kiosk: Spice up your event with the edition of our iconic mobile kitchen serving up its usual tasty treats or a menu tailored to your event.

The Grassy Hopper is looking for new people to join our team! For both positions we are looking for people who want to join the project for the long term.

- Experience in hospitality or catering is essential

- Must hold a valid drivers license and food handling certificate

- Must be outgoing and a good communicator who is willing to develop deep product knowledge
